Today is the 63rd anniversary of the first (and former) network in South America, Rede Tupi Brasil. It was a television station owned by Diarios Associados. It has great popularity at that time. However, on July 18, 1980, by order of the Brazilian military government, it was shut down. It was the end of an era. But the spirit still lives on, today. God bless Tupi.
1950 - 1980
There you go. That's life.
