Riaan Cruywagen

Riaan Cruywagen is the most famous and synonymous Afrikaans news anchors in South Africa. Riaan was born on October 5, 1945 in Johannesburg. He started his career at the SABC in 1965, while he was studying journalism at the University of Stellenbosch. He did some program on the radio for ten years, until he was assigned to do the news on TV. Riaan was not the first Afrikaans anchor. It was Roelf Jacobs who first appeared on May 12, 1975. But, the news in South Africa first appeared on May 5, 1975, only in english. Riaan's first appearance was on November 26, 1975, and he was the news anchor ever since, even when television officially started on January 5, 1976. He also had a variety of co-anchors, including Marietta Kruger. News wasn't just his only favorite, he also did some children shows. Hello, I would like to introduce BIG RANT!! A program on where I rant on a topic. This week's topic: Atlanta radio is OFFICIALLY ruined. First, it's WWVA-FM and WWLG-FM. It started as WCHK on August 1, 1964. It broadcasted a country format. During that time, the station would be owned and operated by the most evil media company, Clear Channel. It would switch to a simulcast of WGST-AM in 1993. It broke from that station in 2000, when it became classic rock. The WWVA-FM that I knew, was "VIVA 105.7 FM", a station that broadcasted a spanish pop format. It was a good format as well. But that station would switch its format to the one today. It is now a Rhythmic Top 40, and has a simulcast station, WWLG-FM (since 2010). WWLG-FM was born in 1985. It started off as a Rhythmic Top 40 station in 2000. Happy Autism Acceptance Day!

This day is a very special day for people on the autism spectrum. For years, many people have called this occasion Autism Awareness Day. Recently, people on the spectrum are standing up and staying that they want to be accepted. I decided to go with the infinity symbol than a piece of puzzle as a better representation for autistic people, and those who have ADHD or Asperger's. It's personal for me because I have high-functioning autism (and so does Hiroyuki). I enjoy posting anything on Blogspot that comes up in my mind.
