- Today in Connecticut, Adam Lanza has killed 20 children and 6 adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, and then killed himself. Ryan Lanza, the shooter's brother, is taken away by cops and is being questioned. In Washington D.C., President Barack Obama went to a press gallery where he wept in tears. And then he said: “The majority of those who died today were children, beautiful little kids between the ages of 5 and 10 years old. They had their entire lives ahead of them: birthdays, graduations, weddings, kids of their own. We’ve endured too many of these tragedies in these past few years and each time I learn the news I react not as a president but as anyone else would as a parent and that was especially true today. I know there’s not a parent in America who doesn’t feel the same overwhelming grief that I do.” This shooting is by far to be declared the most devasting in the history of the United States. Parents and relatives are crying and mourning for the dead. This investigation will continue.
